Julie Hollis
Julie is a contemporary landscape artist living in the beautiful Scottish region of Dumfries and Galloway. Born in Birmingham, England, Julie has lived in Scotland for the past 35 years.
She currently lives in The Artists’ Town of Kirkcudbright, a small and vibrant harbour town and popular tourist destination. Her work is inspired almost exclusively by the surrounding countryside and shorelines,
Jacqui Basset
Jacqui Bassett is an oil & cold wax artist based in the Lake District.
My work is about the felt response to place. Those times when we see the majesty of the natural world unfurl —in sunsets, mountains, meadows or streams— we often find that the experience lingers with us. My aim is to create art that carries those who view it back into the wild places.
Maria Burton Artist:
We are over the moon to welcome Maria Burton to GNW. Her contemporary and semi abstract paintings convey the emotions she feels when exploring the landscape
Ruth Bond
Predominantly working in oils, I employ an impressionistic technique that uses both palette knife and brush resulting in the blended but also richly textured, vibrant style for which I have become renowned. I have established myself as a contemporary land and seascape artist.
Proximity - Lockdown and beyond:
Landscape artist Stuart James Fraser, forced by lockdown to re-connect with his own locality, realises just how fortunate he really is.
This current body of work celebrates his home, village, and the surrounding countryside of the iconic and stunning Eden Valley.
